Cuando comenzó el punk, muchos lo trataron como una moda ocasional. No lo fue. En los '60 estaba lo que los expertos llamaron garage rock. Ahora le están cambiando el nombre a proto-punk. Y creo que en varios casos tienen razón en el cambio, sobre todo al escuchar estas rarezas de Nueva Zelanda, Wyld Kiwis, es una excelente recopilación de 1992 del sello Flying Nun. Son dos Cd's que cubren muy buenas bandas, desconocidas la gran mayoría, bajo el común denominador de garage rock, durante el período de 1966 a 1969.
