Tony Sheridan - The Teacher

 TONY SHERIDAN, un guitarrista excepcional, un cantante magnífico y un intérprete en vivo impresionante y carismático, fue uno de los primeros músicos británicos en tocar en clubes de Hamburgo, Alemania, a principios de los años 60.

The Beatles - In The Beginning

 

In the Beginning (Circa 1960) es el primer paquete estadounidense del álbum alemán de 1964 de Tony Sheridan y los Beatles, llamado "The Beatles' First!".
In the Beginning (Circa 1960) fue lanzado por Polydor Records en 1970 (número de catálogo 24-4504). Fue grabado en Hamburgo con The Beatles en 1961 (excepto "Sweet Georgia Brown" en 1962) y cuenta con Pete Best en la batería. Este álbum, ampliado con cuatro pistas más sin la participación de los Beatles, fue lanzado originalmente como "The Beatles' First!" en Alemania en 1964. The Beatles - Savage Years With Tony Sheridan

Esta grabación fue efectivamente la primera realizada por The Beatles. Esta grabación digital mantiene el contenido del original. En ella aparece la primera canción grabada y compuesta por The Beatles, Cry for a Shadow, un tema instrumental compuesto por Lennon y Harrison. Además, en la batería está Pete Best, el mismo que después fuera despedido del grupo, por mantener una actitud rebelde. Según algunos, su despido verdadero fue por ser más guapo que los otros, pero cualquiera fuera el motivo de su despido, perdió de ganar una gran cantidad de dinero y fama.
El orígen de esta grabación se da para distribuir algo de música de Tony Sheridan, quien era un cantante relativamente conocido en Alemania. Como faltaba un grupo de apoyo se eligió a The Beatles, supuestamente elegidos por Bert Kaempfert, gerente en aquella época de la discográfica.
