500 Greatest Songs of All Time by Rolling Stone

 

Lo primero es agradecer a Bubanee por la gran recopilación de los 500 temas. Una labor monstruosa y ardua, que me imagino requirió gran tiempo y paciencia de su parte.
Tras escuchar todos los temas, me quedó la sensación de un gran Frankestein, pues escuchar cada tema de manera individual es agradable, pero pasar de un doo-wop a un hard rock o de un rock progresivo a un R&B o de un folk a un funky soul es bastante extraño.
"En el año 2004, la revista Rolling Stone confeccionó la lista con las 500 mejores canciones de todos los tiempos, diseñada por 172 críticos y personalidades de la industria musical.
Aquí están recopiladas todas las canciones de la lista en formato Mp3. Las subí en archivos independientes con 100 canciones cada uno. Sólo hay que descomprimirlos todos en la misma carpeta." (Bubanee)

La lista de Rolling Stone de las 500 mejores canciones de todos los tiempos fue diseñada por 172 críticos, músicos y expertos de la industria discográfica. Apareció publicada el 9 de diciembre de 2004 en el número 963 de la revista Rolling Stone.
Controversia
Recoge casi únicamente canciones del ámbito anglosajón; y la polémica que desató fue similar a la de sus predecesores, la lista de los 500 álbumes más importantes de todos los tiempos y la lista de los 100 guitarristas más grandes de todos los tiempos. Una de las más comunes críticas que despertó, fue la cantidad de canciones de las décadas de 1960 y 1970, aún considerando la enorme cantidad de artistas nuevos e incluso nuevos géneros musicales, como el rap (en la lista se incluían 202 canciones de los años 60, 144 de los 70, 55 de los 80, 24 de los 90 y solo 3 del siglo XXI).
Causó también polémica el descenso de «Bohemian Rhapsody», de la banda inglesa Queen hasta el puesto 163, ya que es considerada por muchos como una obra maestra en su composición; así como de «Stairway to Heaven», la tranquila balada con final de hard rock de los también ingleses Led Zeppelin, cuya canción quedó en el puesto 31. Además de la ausencia de la épica In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida de Iron Butterfly.
La lista en números
La canción más antigua es «Rollin’ Stone» (Muddy Waters) de 1948, en el puesto 459. La canción más reciente es «Hey Ya!» (Outkast) de 2003, en el puesto 180. La única canción que no está en inglés es «La bamba» de Ritchie Valens.

    1. Estimado, me demoré en responder buscando si tenía algo parecido. Yo nací en 1961 así que los 80 y 90 no los considero, pues los estilos musicales de ese periodo no me gustan. En cuanto a baladas me gusta una que otra pero no tengo ningún compilado, quizás lo más cercano sea las 1001 Songs You Must Hear Before You Die, pero ahí viene de todo, desde los 50 hasta los 2000.
