The Belmonts 1961-1962 (18 / 46:30)
Grupo (trío) estadounidense de doo-wop del Bronx, Nueva York, que incorporó el nombre de la calle "Belmont Street" en la que vivían todos los miembros originales en ese momento. En 1957 lanzaron su primer sencillo Santa Margherita / Teen-Age Clementine y en 1958 evolucionaron hasta convertirse en Dion & The Belmonts cuando Dion (3) se unió al trío convirtiéndolos en un cuarteto. The Elegants es un grupo vocal estadounidense de doo-wop fundado en 1958 por Vito Picone, Arthur Venosa, Frank Tardogno, Carmen Romano y James Moschella en South Beach, Staten Island, Nueva York. Antes de que su canción inspirada en una canción infantil, "Little Star", se convirtiera en un éxito número uno, la banda solía actuar de manera informal bajo el paseo marítimo junto a sus casas. Doo-wop para un grupo de pop vocal de Brooklyn, Nueva York, EE. UU.
Formada en 1955 por Hank Medress. La banda original incluía a Neil Sedaka, pero no fue hasta que Medress volvió a reunir el grupo en 1960, con los hermanos Phil y Mitch Margo y el vocalista principal Jay Siegel, que realmente alcanzaron el gran momento. The Marcels eran un grupo de doo-wop formado en 1959 en Pittsburgh, Pensilvania, con Cornelius Harp (líder), Fred Johnson (bajo), Gene Bricker, Ron Mundy y Richard Knauss. En 1961, Richard Knauss y Gene Bricker se marcharon y fueron reemplazados por Allen Johnson (hermano de Fred) y Walt Maddox. Ron Mundy dejó el grupo poco después de su partida.
En 1962, Cornelius Harp y Allen Johnson se marcharon y fueron reemplazados por Richard Harris y William Herndon.
