Linn County

 

Linn County era una banda estadounidense de blues con sede en Iowa y más tarde en San Francisco, California.

El Linn County lanzó tres álbumes de 1968 a 1970. A lo largo de su existencia, tuvieron siete miembros en la banda.

Linn County se formó alrededor de 1966 en el condado de Linn, Iowa, Estados Unidos, como The Prophets.

En 1968, la banda firmó con Mercury Records, se mudó a San Francisco y cambió su nombre a Linn County.

Lanzaron su primer álbum Proud Flesh Soothseer en 1968 y realizaron giras con bandas y músicos como

Albert King, Led Zeppelin, Sly & the Family Stone, Eric Burdon & the Animals y Ten Years After.

Se hicieron más conocidos cuando el grupo se disolvió poco después de que Clark Pierson se fuera para unirse a Janis Joplin y Stephen Miller se fue para unirse a Elvin Bishop. Fred Walk mantuvo la banda unida con diferente personal durante un tiempo y luego disolvió el grupo en 1973.
